Coronavirus update, 15-05-20
Following the updated guidance on green space use on the 15th May, Falmouth and Truro's Harbour authorities have advised
us that the use of leisure craft is now permitted. However, there remains restrictions on the use of second homes and staying onboard a vessel
that is not a main residence. There may also be limited RNLI coverage, so we ask that every precaution be made before setting out to sea.
We are now also providing limited access to the yard, starting Thursday 14th May by appointment so that owners can prepare their boats for launch.
If you require access to your boat for on-site maintenance, please call 07879 497 940 to make an appointment.
If you require items such as Antifoul, tape, brushes or parts, batteries etc, we can have them delivered next day to the yard.
We are however checking all craft either ashore or afloat daily for security and safety. Electric usage is also being monitored and replenished and we are
still operating a 24 hr watch for added security.
We will be trying to contact everyone with a boat ashore from Friday 15th May to ascertain what work you would like FYB to complete such as antifouling and
battery charging so that we can start to plan a phased return of staff and launching. Please check that your mooring is laid and serviced if
applicable. We will not be able to deliver any boat launched to its mooring, for the foreseeable future.
Due to the restrictions on the use of second homes, we will not be able to operate Park and Launch for non-residents.
In an emergency, to book an appointment or for an update/ advice, please call 07879 497 940. Jerry Hobkirk, MD, FYB
